About
Yarina is made up of eleven Cachimuel brothers and sisters. Its music is classified within the fusion of the Kichwa Otavalo people. The group was created in 1984 by parents Jose Manuel Cachimuel and Rosa Elena Amaguaña, motivated by the struggle for the rights of the indigenous people of America in which their parents were committed to work with social organizations.
Our Band
It's repertoire of music, dance, images and poetry includes a wide variety of indigenous culture of the north of Ecuador, as well as shows, ensembles with chamber and symphonic orchestras throughout the world interpreting original rhythms of the indigenous people. Among the Andean instruments, the bandolín, charango, the rondador, the kena, the sampoña, the pakllas stand out, which mixed with classical guitar, violin, bass and drums give us the unique style of YARINA
